TOWN OF SILVER CITY

In August, 2013, the Town of Silver City established a Water Conservation Plan in order to evaluate and develop methods the Town could implement in order to sustain and conserve its municipal ground water supply. This included a top down analysis of the water system and audit according to AWWA best practices and recommendations. Upon completion of evaluation, results suggested that testing meter accuracy and conducting leak detection would be the first steps needed to be taken.Yearout Energy Services further investigated and developed a project that would provide the Town with new meters and implement a leak detection program that would payback in 14.1 years.
