Yearout Energy Partners with Dora Consolidated Schools on Facility Improvement Project

DORA — May 2 — Yearout Energy, an Energy Services Company (ESCO) headquartered in Albuquerque, announced that they have begun work on a $2.7M project with Dora Consolidated Schools (DCS) to help replace failing equipment, decrease spending on utility and operational costs, and improve occupant comfort for students and staff.

Yearout Energy is proud to partner with this community-focused school district,” said Account Manager Tara Trafton. “Our team is assisting the district to achieve their infrastructure improvement needs, save annual costs, and create a more inviting space through these upgrades.”

Yearout Energy performed an investment grade audit (IGA) of several facilities across the DCS campus to identify and co-develop facility improvement measures that would allow the school district to leverage future energy and operational savings through a Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contract (GESPC). In all, DCS is projected to save considerably in annual operating costs, as well as prolong the life of facility equipment.

“We’re excited to implement these measures for Dora Consolidated Schools and continue being good stewards of our current facilities,” said Superintendent Brandon Hays. “We’re looking forward to reaping the benefits from the annual savings and the facility upgrades for the building users, as well as our community for years to come.”

Beyond reducing annual costs the project provides many other significant benefits to facility users including the following:

  • Replacing 200+ tons of heating and cooling units with new high-efficiency systems
  • Installing new HVAC controls system
  • Full roof restoration
  • Remediating building envelope leaks
  • Upgrading electrical infrastructure for greater utility savings
  • In addition to other improvements.
